Chocolate Mousse

Chocolate Mousse

8 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

1/3 cup Milk

2 tbsp Cocoa Powder

1 tbsp Sugar

1/8 tsp Salt

1/8 Cup Baileys if you want more intense flavor add 1/4 cup

1 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream

2 tsp Vanilla Extract

For topping:

1/3 Cup Heavy Cream

1 1/2 tbsp Powdered Sugar

  1. In a bowl combine semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk, confectioners sugar, salt and cocoa powder.

  2. Melt it in the microwave in 20 second increments or use double boiler method.

  3. Make sure all of the chocolate chips are melted and you have one smooth glossy consistency.

  4. Stir in vanilla extract and Baileys.

  5. In a different bowl whip up cold heavy cream until stiff peaks.

  6. Combine whipped cream and chocolate mixture .

  7. Using a pipping bag and Wilton closed star tip .

  8. Pipe in the mousse into 4oz clear cups.

  9. Let it chill in the fridge for couple hrs.

  10. Meanwhile whip up some cold heavy cream and confectioners sugar until stiff peaks, for the topping.

  11. Roughly chop up almonds.

  12. In a circular motion using same closed star tip, pipe on some whipping cream and sprinkle some almonds.
