Lemon Bundt Cake

Lemon Bundt Cake

8 Eggs

2 lemons

14 oz Butter

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 tsp baking powder

2 tsp turmeric powder

1 1/3 cups Sugar

4 cups Flour

Glaze:

1 egg white

1 tbsp lemon juice

2/3 cup confectioners sugar

  1. Seperate the eggs whites and yolks.

  2. Combine sugar and egg yolks.

  3. Add room temperature butter mix until all ingredients combined .

  4. Zest the lemons and squeeze the juices out directly into the batter

  5. Add vanilla extract.

  6. Combine and sift all of the dry ingredients into the batter.

  7. In a separate mixing bowl whip up the eggs whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form or if you flip the bowl over the whites still remain in the bowl.

  8. Grease the bundt cake pan with butter or non stick cooking spray.

  9. Bake at 350* for about 80 minutes or untill toothpick comes out dry.

  10. Once its fully baked place it on the cooling rack to cool completely.

Glaze:

  1. Combine lemon juice , confectioners sugar and egg white and best untill smooth and glossy consistency .

  2. Glaze the top of the bundt cake either with a brush or a spoon.
