Baked Salmon With Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce

Baked Salmon With Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce

1 Fillet Salmon

1/2 Lemon

4 cloves Garlic

salt

pepper

olive oil

Garlic Butter Sauce :

1/4 onion (chopped)

3 garlic cloves

2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 lemon

1/2 cup white wine

3 tbsp butter

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 tbsp dried or fresh cilantro or parsley

salt

pepper

  1. Preheat the oven to 350* and line a baking sheet with foil.

  2. In a bowl combine zest of a lemon , lemon juice , pressed garlic, salt, pepper and few spoons of olive oil .

  3. On a baking sheet drizzle some olive oil and place the salmon skin down . ( You can take the skin off before cooking but I like to do that when the fish is done its a lot easier.

  4. Rub the lemon and garlic mixture all over the salmon .

  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 min.

To make the sauce:

  1. Sautee chopped onions and pressed garlic with few spoons of olive oil.

  2. Add white wine and cook for few minutes until its reduced a bit.

  3. Add butter and heavy cream cook for few minutes.

  4. Add lemon juice and herbs.

  5. Season with salt and pepper.

You can serve the fish over steamed rice or with vegetables.
