Beer Can Chicken
1 whole chicken ( mine was about 4 lbs)
salt
pepper
paprika
1/2 cup mayo
1 can beer
mason jar
Preheat oven to 350*
Rub on mayo all over the bird.
Generously season with salt, pepper and paprika .
Pour beer into the mason jar.
Place the mason jar onto a baking sheet.
Sit the bird firmly on top of the jar, make sure its not wiggly .
Place it into the oven and add some water onto the baking sheet enough to cover the bottom.
Always make sure that the baking sheet has water otherwise the jar will crack.
If all the water has evaporated add some hot water, avoid adding cold as that will also make the jar crack.
Cook for about 60-90 minutes depending on the size of the bird .
