Stewed Cabbage With Tri-Tip
1 1/2 Tri-tip (cubed)
1 large Cabbage (shredded)
5-6 Portabello Mushrooms (sliced)
1 Medium Onion (chopped)
1-2 Carrots (sliced or shredded )
olive oil
salt
pepper
Preheat the frying pan with olive oil.
Sautee onions until translucent .
On a high heat sear the try-tip then lower it to a medium heat.
Add mushroom and cook for another couple minutes.
Add shredded cabbage and carrots.
Cook for about 5 minutes until cabbage reduces in size .
Season with salt and pepper.
Cover with a lid and let it simmer for about an hour.
Keep an eye on the pan if all of the liquid is gone just add a small amount of water and keep cooking.
Serve hot or cold.
